Obituary of Robert Renfro

ROBERT STEVEN "BOBBY" RENFRO EDINBURG - Robert Steven "Bobby" Renfro, 61, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, August 28, 2016, in Edinburg. Born in Ft. Riley, Kansas and formerly of Sioux City, Iowa he had lived in Edinburg for the past 20 years. Mr. Renfro was a veteran having served in the US Army and was a retired educator and enjoyed teaching Karate. He was a devoted Catholic and will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Renfro is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Jean Renfro; two infant children. Mr. Renfro is survived by his wife, Mirtha B. Renfro; a daughter, Mary S. Renfro; his father, Robert Leon Renfro; five brothers, Larry (Pam) Johnson, Brian (Maureen) Renfro, Scott Renfro, Christopher (Andrea) Renfro and Michael Renfro; two sisters, Valerie (Michael) Hamilton and Jody (Brian) Dunnigan; father-in-law, Juan Alinda; brother-in-law, Juan "Juancho" (Jhone) Briceño; a sister-in-law, Ana (Alfredo) Soto; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
