Mirtha and Mary and Renfro family...It was a great privilege to know Robert as a teacher and a colleague. His students and coworkers benefitted from his wit, intelligence, and humor, and he will not be forgotten by them. I was always impressed by his integrity, his candor, his kindness and his insight into people. He will be greatly missed. Crossing the Bar by Alfred Lord Tennyson Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam, When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home. Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark! And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark; For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place The flood may bear me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have crost the bar.

To Mirtha, Mary and the entire Renfro family, I am so sorry for your loss. Bobby was a life long friend from The Immaculate Conception school. We shared so many childhood memories, from playing sports to just cruising. I remember when he quit college, I drove across Iowa in the middle of a blizzard to pick him up. We both decided to come to California to look for jobs. I stayed while Bobby left and subsequently joined the service. He was always loyal and a true trusted friend. I would receive a postcard or letter just to let me know he was doing fine. He always remembered to call me on my birthday, never talking about himself, but of his family. I shall miss him greatly.
