I am so shocked to hear his passing. I am deeply saddened. Steve and I made so much memories in South Korea. He was so sweet and kind not just to me but all our friends there. We will never forget him. He will be missed. May he rest in peace Steven Guevara!

Maj G was my last commander in the Army. He was so concerned about my transition to civilian life and did his best to assist me. I am grateful to have known him and his family while stationed in Hawaii. Truly the nicest person I met in the Army. -Nicole Hall

Steve and I played football together back in high school, but that isn’t what stood out about him in my memories. It was how genuinely nice and wholesome person he was. We reconnected by chance on Facebook, then realizing we were both Army officers, but it was how I remembered him which made me think I wish I hadn’t lost touch with him.
No words will fill his place or temper your grief, but I’d like to think that I honor his memory by sharing the good he brought, the happiness he spread and unexplainable connection he made with those around him. Although the world maybe a bit sadder without him, I know it is as better place having had him, even if for a brief time.
