Obituary of Florencia Rivera

FLORENCIA RIVERA

ALAMO - Florencia Rivera, 101, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in Weslaco surrounded by her family. Born in Rancho Panalito, Tamps., Mexico she had lived in Alamo for the past 15 years. Mrs. Rivera was preceded death by her husband, Encarnacion Cadena; two children, Moises Cadena, and Margarita Cadena De Lopez; her parents, Maruro and Margarita Rivera; three siblings, Jose Rivera, Carlos Rivera, and Ansencion Escobedo.

Mrs. Rivera is survived by her four children, Febita Cano, Noe (Linda) Cadena, Encarnacion (Erlinda) Cadena, Jr., and Florencia (Roman) Cruz; her brother, Samuel Rivera; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2018, at Iglesia Gethsemani Santa Pentecostes 740 East Birch Ave in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. 

Funeral servies are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
