Obituary of Maria "Emma" Luna

MARIA "EMMA" LUNA

PHARR - Maria "Emma" Luna, 70, went to be with our Lord, Friday October 19, 2018 in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Born in San Gregorio, S.L.P., Mexico she had lived in Pharr most of her life. She was a member of Iglesia Bautista Calvario in Pharr. Mrs. Luna was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Hernandez and Herlinda Grimaldo; two sisters, Guadalupe Paredes, and Adela Vasquez.

Mrs. Luna is survived by her husband, Jose J. Luna; four children, Ramon Luna, Marivel (Adan) Tijerina, Melinda (Eddie) Aguilar, and Jose (Liana) Luna; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Salvador, Jesus, and Manuel Hernandez; five sisters, Maria De Los Angeles Hernandez, Juana Medina, Alma Gloria Lara, Marisela Reyna, and Rosario Prieto; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday October 22, 2018, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
