McAllen Fernanda E. Alanis, 64, died Thursday, September 26, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her family. Fernanda is preceded in death by her son, Jose Homero De Leon; her father, Antonio Alanis; a brother, Tonio Alanis; a sister Herlendita Alanis. She is survived by her sons, Juan G. (Amy) De Leon, Julio De Leon and Sergio (Sandy) De Leon; 12 grandchildren; her mother, Gregoria Alanis; six brothers, Armando, Arturo, Maximo, Ramon, Otoniel and Jose Alanis; a sister, Maria De Jesus Morales. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm with at 7 pm rosary, today, September 29, 2013, at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Rd. (956) 618-5900 in Edinburg. A live webcast of the rosary can be viewed at www.legacychapelsrgv.com. Funeral service will be at 10:00am Monday, September 30, 2013, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg
