AMALIA HINOJOSA

EDINBURG - Amalia Hinojosa, 73, went to be with our Lord, August 30, 2018 in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Born in Cuevitas, Texas she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Mrs. Hinojosa is preceded in death by her parents, Silvestre and Genoveva Reyes; four sisters, Alida Solis, San Juanita Reyes, Arcadia Reyes, and San Juanita Reyes.

Amalia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking, traveling and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Amalia was a talented seamstress. Mrs. Hinojosa will be greatly missed and loved forever by all who knew her.

Mrs. Hinojosa is survived by her husband, Arturo Hinojosa; four children Gilberto Hinojosa, Armando (Magda) Hinojosa, Rosendo (Diana) Hinojosa, and Christina (Michael) Ramirez; 14 grandchilren; 5 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bernardo (Libby) Reyes, Roel (Graciela) Reyes, and Silvestre Reyes Jr.; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Saturday September 1, 2018 at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
