Obituary of Arturo Ponce

ARTURO PONCE

EDINBURG - Arturo Ponce, 92, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday August 22, 2018 in McAllen surrounded by his family. Born in Jim Hogg County he lived in Edinburg most of his life. Mr. Ponce was a proud US Army Veteran having served his country in WWII. Mr. Ponce is preceded in death by his wife Delia Ponce; his parents, Jose and Rosa Ponce; six brothers, Roel, Milo, Octavio, Oscar, Alberto, and Armando Ponce; four sisters, Emma, Eva, Ofelia, and Olga.

Mr. Ponce is survived by his four children, Arturo Javier (Pam) Ponce, Melinda (Joe) Villarreal, Carlos (Cindy) Ponce, and Marco (Cindy Ann) Ponce; seven grandchildren, Victoria, Sarah, Carlisa, CJ, Isabella, Mia, and Wes; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church Parish Hall in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen with full military honors provided by V.F.W. Post 8788.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
