Obituary of Maria Guadalupe Cantu

MARIA GUADALUPE CANTU

EDINBURG - Maria Guadalupe Cantu, 71, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Born in Las Puentes, Tamps., Mexico, she had lived in Edinburg for the past 23 years. Mrs. Cantu is preceded in death by her parents, Agustin and Manuelita Muñiz.

Mrs. Cantu is survived by her husband, Cesar Cantu; four children, Cesar Cantu Jr, Laura Cantu, Veronica (Jose Luis Jr.) Estrella and Marco A. (Gabby) Cantu; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Inecita Morales, Ma. Rene Maldonado and Teresin Corona; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
