Obituary of Sylvia Carmona

SYLVIA CARMONA

EDINBURG - Sylvia Carmona, 56, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Born in Bakersfield, California, and previously from Gresham, Oregon, she had lived in Edinburg for the past 12 years. Sylvia is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Peanut Paloma Castañeda; her father, Marcelo Carmona.

Sylvia is survived by her three children, Cynthia (Fausto) Herrera, Carmen Castañeda and Enrique (Mariah) Castañeda Jr.; six grandchildren, Zabrina, Teresa, Angel, Osvaldo, Xitlalic and Enrique III; her mother, Maria Teresa De Jesus Carmona; four siblings, Ramon Carmona, Ninfa Carmona, Marcelo Carmona Jr. and Ruben Carmona; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
