Obituary of Gloria A. Cavazos

McAllen, Texas

Mrs. Gloria A. Cavazos entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at her home in McAllen. Gloria was born on February 20, 1931 in Rockdale, Texas to Horacio Alvarado and Crisanta Rios Alvarado. Gloria was a resident of Hidalgo, Texas for most of her life. Mrs. Gloria A.Cavazos was for more than 25 years manager and caretaker for Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in McAllen. Gloria was very proud of her time there. Gloria was always helping families with making arranegments to bury their loved ones at the cemetery. Gloria would take her time to be of assitance to anybody that came to the office asking for guidance in anything, life basically. Gloria will truly be missed by her family, all who came to know her through the years, and all funeral directors that worked with her side by side. Gloria was truly full of life and love. Gloria will be dearly missed by all.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jesus Cavazos

Gloria is survived by her children; Jesus Cavazos, Elsa Cavazos de Gomez, Irma Cavazos de Ramirez, Olga Cavazos de Godoy, Carlos Cavazos, Alberto Cavazos; 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchldren, extended family and friends.

Visitation will take palce on Saturday,April 28, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Legacy Chapels,4610 S.Jackson Rd.in Edinburg with a recital of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday,April 29, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Roselawn Cemetery and Mausoleum Chapel. Interment will follow immediately.  

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
