Obituary of Martin Porras Sr.

MARTIN PORRAS SR.

EDINBURG - Martin Porras, Sr., 80, went to be with our Lord, Monday, April 23, 2018, in Weslaco surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Porras is preceded in death by his parents, Medardo and Celia Porras; his brothers, Medardo Porras Jr., Joel Porras; a sister, Celia Porras Perez.

Mr. Porras is survived by his wife, Elida Porras; six children, Jose Luis, Delilah, Liza Anna, Yvonne, Jessica, and Martin Jr. , a daughter in-law, sons in-law ; 19 grandcildren and 13 great-grandchildren; his brother, Adan Porras; numerous nieces, nephews and many lifetime friends. 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd., in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
