Obituary of Isabel Duarte

ISABEL DUARTE

SAN JUAN - Isabel Duarte, 82, longtime San Juan resident passed away Monday, February 19th, 2018, at San Juan Nursing Home. She was born in 1935 in San Fernando, Tamps., Mexico. Isabel is preceded in death by two sons, Jorge and Agustin Jaime Rivas; a daughter, Isabel Guadalupe Rivas. She loved spending time with her family, playing lotteria and shopping.

Mrs. Duarte is survived by her 9 children; Rosa M Rivas McDonnell,  Jesus Monserrat Rivas, Norma Gertrudis Gomez, Noé Antonio Rivas, José Luis  Alvarez, Juana Elizabeth  Alvarez, Mario Alberto Alvarez, Blanca Luz Pettibone,  Erika Guadalupe Alvarez; 38 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren;  3 brothers, Rogelio, Gualberto & Faustino Perez; two sisters, Guadalupe and Lidia Perez; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.

Funeral service are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
