Elma never met a stranger, they were just new friends meeting for the first time. She loved to walk and politic every election and I am glad to have been one who made many walks with her in Corpus Christi and in our neighborhood. We made so many gatherings together over the years that often times Elma had to explain I was not her husband Richard and I had to explain she was not my wife Joan. We had many a laugh at those occasions as we both enjoyed our political events and campaigning. Rest in Peace Elma and say hi to Richard for me. Peace be with you.
