A few year's ago while still in school for my Master's degree, I was overwhelmed, stressed and just plain tired. My car decided not to start. My father happened to call, and I just started to cry. Within the hour, his good friend (El Guero) showed up with a truck and said "let me know when your done with it". He told me he owed my father many favors and was just happy he could help. On several other occasions, he swept in like a knight in shining armor as well. Despite the lies the enemy tried to tell me, my fathers love was stronger.

On one of my father's visits to the RGV, we went to a local restaurant (Costa Mezza). As soon as he saw the mariachi singers, he called them over. This is one of many times he did this. My good friend, Claudia, immediately took a picture. He loved this type of music and was very generous with everyone around him.
