Obituary of Domingo "Sonny" Hinojosa Jr.

DOMINGO "SONNY" HINOJOSA JR.

EDINBURG - Domingo "Sonny" Hinojosa Jr., 77, went to be with our Lord, Friday, December 8, 2017, in Edinburg surrounded by his family. Mr. Hinojosa is preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Delfina Hinojosa Sr.;  a sister, Olivia "Lily" Dilley; a brother in-law Emilio Dilley.

Mr. Hinojosa is survived by his wife, Alicia Hinojosa; a son, Ricardo "Ric" (Debby) Hinojosa; a daughter, Yvonne Hinojosa; four siblings, Elma (Leobardo) Martinez, Edna (Robert) Sztuk, Delfina "Fina" (Orlo) McEwen, Alberto "Beto" Hinojosa; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. praise and worship service, Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Celebration of Life service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to any one of the following charities: American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Association, National Stroke Association, or just do something nice for a "perfect stranger" in your neighborhood or hometown.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
