Obituary of Engracia Flores

ENGRACIA FLORES

ELSA - Engracia Flores, 71, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, December 7, 2017, in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Mrs. Flores was co-owner (along with her late husband, Jose P. Flores) and operator of Joe's Drive In Grocery Store in Elsa for 36 years until her retirement in 2005. She also co-owned and operated the Mid-Way Drive In in Elsa, Fiesta Drive In in Weslaco and the Rio Theater in Mercedes. Mrs. Flores is preceded in death by her husband; parents, Crespin and Elida Villarreal.

Mrs. Flores is survived by three children, Jose Luis Flores, Roel Flores, and Yvette (Rene) Flores; five grandchildren, Roel, Eric, Jessica, Rene, and Roberto; eight siblings, Jose Maria Villarreal, Viola (Juan) Garza, Maria Elena (Ponciano) Duran, San Juanita Morado, Minerva Villarreal, Rosa Chapa, Oscar (Adela) Villarreal, and Juan Villarreal; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2017, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
