Obituary of Stefanie Joy Martinez

STEFANIE JOY MARTINEZ

EDINBURG - Stefanie Joy Martinez, 27, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, November 22, 2017, in Edinburg. Stefanie was full of passion, loved exotic animals,learning, and most of all her children. She was a caring and loving nurse who went on numerous medical missions. Stefanie was very adventerous and enjoyed fishing.  

Stefanie is survived by her two children, Isabella Gabriel Martinez and Larry Joe Gaytan III; her parents, Ruben and Nancy Elaine Martinez; four siblings, Gabriel Louis Martinez, Enrique Grant (Ayssa) Martinez, David Whitmeyer Martinez and Desiree Eileen Martinez; maternal grandfather, John Fura;  former husband and friend, Larry Joe Gaytan II; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with 7 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Living Word Evangelical Free Church 5208 North Jackson Rd in Pharr. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Living Word Evangelical Free Church in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
