Obituary of Reynaldo Martinez
REYNALDO MARTINEZ
EDINBURG - Reynaldo Martinez, 85, went to be with our Lord, Saturday November 4, 2017, in Edinburg surrounded by his family. Born in San Diego, Texas, he had lived in Edinburg all of his life. Reynaldo is preceded in death by his parents, Apolonio and Teofila Martinez; five brothers, Daniel, Ricardo, Gilberto, Reyes and Jose Martinez.
Reynaldo loved spending time with his cherished family by having occasional barbecues while watching an Astros or Cowboys game. He was also a hunting enthusiast who enjoyed spending time on the ranch.
Though his presence will be greatly missed, his legacy will continue on with his surviving family. All of the momories he created will forever be encapsulated into the hearts and minds of all who knew him because he was a great man.
Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Belia G. Martinez; two children, Reymundo (Ofelia) Martinez and Aida Martinez; two grandchildren, Monica (Luis) Garza and Reymundo (Alexandria) Martinez, Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Natalie, Kimberly, Lauren, Adalynn and Nolan Rey; two sisters, Evangelina (Juan R.) Treviño and Maria (Daniel) Gonzalez; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Sacred Heart Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Pallbearers will be Reymundo Martinez, Jr., Luis Garza, Rene Torres, Paul Torres, Daniel Gonzalez, Jr., and Ricky Martinez.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
