JUAN GONZALEZ

MCALLEN - Juan Gonzalez, 93, went to be with our Lord, Friday November 3, 2017, in Edinburg surrounded by his family. Born in Runge, Texas, Mr. Gonzalez had lived in McAllen most of his life. Mr. Gonzalez is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez; his parents, Vicente and Nestora Gonzalez; a sister, Gabriella Recio; three brothers, Roman Recio, Margarito Gonzalez and Pablo Gonzalez; a son-in-law, Gerald Schenk. 

Mr. Gonzalez is survived by seven children; San Juanita (Adolfo) Garza, Vicente (Sheryl) Gonzalez, Hortencia (Samuel) Ballesteros, Lupita Schenk, Marta (Bernardo) Leal, David (Estela) Gonzalez and Juan Josue (Esmeralda) Gonzalez; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gregoria Jaramillo; two brothers, Pedro and Alejandro Gonzalez; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 12 noon Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Iglesia Biblica, 306 South 26th Street in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. 

Funeral service are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
