Obituary of Inocencio Carrera

Pharr, Texas

Mr. Inocencio Carrera passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 surrounded by his family at his residence in Pharr. He was born on December 28, 1929 in Mexico to Ventura and Isidora Carrera. Inocencio was a life long resident of Pharr. He worked in produce as a forman for numerous growers in the Rio Grande Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous of other family members.

Inocencio is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maria Petra Carrera (Escamilla); step chlldren Margarita Palacios Diaz and Jose Luis Palacios; siblings Angelica and Ignacio Carrera; grandchildren that he raised as his own Maribel Palacios Christensen, Jose Luis Palacios Jr., Adrian Palacios, Ines Palacios Ortiz, 9 great grandchildren, and daughter in law Norma R. Palacios. 

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Legacy Chapels,4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Cemetery in Pharr.
