RAQUEL GARZA
EDINBURG - Raquel Garza, 54, went to be with our Lord, Friday, September 8, 2017, in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Born Reynosa, Tamps., Mexico she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Ms. Garza is preceded in death by her mother, Maria Garza Castillo; a sister, Rebecca Perez.
Ms. Garza is survived by four children: Zaida (Guillermo) Gonzalez, Cesar (Jomyra) Pena, Fernando Pena and Raquel Pena; two grandchildren; her father, Santiago Garza; five brothers: Rosendo, Jose Maria, Rodolfo, Gonzalo and Rafael Garza; two sisters: San Juanita Garza and Graciela Herrera; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, September 10, 2017, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2017, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
