Obituary of San Juana Bernal

McAllen, Texas San Juana Bernal ,64, entered eternal rest on Saturday July 29, 2017 at her home in McAllen surrounded by her family. "Chacha" as she was lovingly known by her family and friends was born on June 24, 1953 in Mexico to Bartolome Diaz and Tomasa Garza. Chacha was a life long resident of McAllen and a member of St.Joseph the Worker Catholic Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Melida Carrillo. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 46 years Mr. Jesus Bernal; Children-Miguel "Jesse" Bernal (JoAnn), Mario Bernal (Crystal), Ricky Bernal(Judy), Carlos Bernal; Her Siblings- Luis, Eleazar, Bartolome,Juan Argelio, Jesus, Oscar, Arcelia Coello, Mirtala Medina, Guadalupe Casas, Osbelia Garcia; also four grandchildren Giovanni Bernal, Ricky Bernal, Ivianna Bernal, and Seidy Bernal. Visitation will take place on Tuesday August 01, 2017 at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Church in McAllen. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
