Obituary of Modesta Villarreal

Pharr, Texas Mrs Modesta S. Villarreal,78, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday July 12, 2017 at her home in Pharr surrounded by her family. She was born on February 24, 1939 in McAllen to Leocadio Soto and Cayetana Pena Soto. Modesta was a long time resident of Pharr where she attended St. Margaret's Catholic Church for many years. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and those that came to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mr. Federico Villlarreal Left to cherish her memory are her children; Vilma(Jose Luis) Calderon, Velisa Villarreal, Federico (Irene) Villarreal III, Fernando (Nancy) Villarreal, Magda (Patrick) O'Grady, her brothers-1st class SGT. Armando Soto, Arnoldo Soto, and Alonzo Soto, 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Saturday July 15, 2017 at Legacy Chapels,4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Sunday July 16, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm both evenings. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 17, 2017 at 9:30 am at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow to Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
