Pharr- Rosalinda "Rosa" Rodriguez, passed away on Monday, April 7th 2014 at McAllen Medical Center. Rosa, was born on May 9th 1954 in Pharr, Texas to Amado and Dominga Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by a son, Carlos Avila, Jr., and her parents. She is survived by her children, Rodolfo Rodriguez (Veronica), Lorena Avila (Eluid Villarreal), and Imelda Avila (Jesse Carlin, Jr.), as well as her lifelong friend Joaquina Solis and siblings, Jose Rodriguez, Jaime Rodriguez, Paulita Jurado, Celia Dominguez, Elida Rodriguez, Maria King, Susana Rodriguez and Teresa Torres; nine grandchildren, Raneeta, Rodolfo, Adolfo, Maximiliano, Jesse, Jaylah, Jesus, Joanna, and Isabella. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 9th, 2014 between the hours of five and nine o'clock in the evening at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., in Edinburg. A rosary will take place at seven o'clock in the evening. Graveside service will be at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 10th 2014 at Guadalupe Cemetery in Pharr. The family would like to acknowledge Juana Solis for all the love and care provided to Rosa. Funeral Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
