ROSA ELVIA GAYTAN PHARR - Rosa Elvia Gaytan, 59, went to be with our Lord, Monday, February 27, 2017, in Pharr surrounded by her family. Born in Valle Hermoso, Tamps., Mexico she had lived in Pharr most of her life. Mrs. Gaytan was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Maria De Los Angeles Bernal; four brothers, Efrem, Efrain, Eleazar and Celestino Bernal. Mrs. Gaytan is survived by her husband of 45 years, Eusebio Gaytan; four children, Rudy (Yesenia) Gaytan, Erica (Michael) Voore, Yvonne (Jorge) Gonzalez and Amy Gaytan; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Eliseo (Dora) Bernal; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017, at Legacy Chapels. Pallbearers will be Eliseo Bernal, Christopher Guerrero, Jorge Gonzalez, Michael Voore, James Gonzalez, and Eleazar Bernal Jr. interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
