DANIEL "NEL" MARTINEZ
EDINBURG - Daniel "Nel" Martinez, 82, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, February 11, 2017, in Mission surrounded by his family. Born in San Diego, Texas he had lived in Edinburg most of his life. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his a son, Manuel Martinez; his parents, Aplolonio and Teofila Martinez; four brothers, Ricardo, Reyes, Jose and Gilberto Martinez.
Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Severina G. Martinez; five children, Daniel Martinez Jr., Noe Martinez, Eduardo Martinez, Cristina Martinez and Adrian Martinez; eight grandchildren; a brother, Reynaldo Martinez; two sisters, Evangelina (Juan) Trevino and Maria (Daniel) Gonzalez; numerous nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
