Obituary of Maria Muñoz

MARIA REYES MUÑOZ EDINBURG - Maria Reyes Muñoz, 72, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, January 14, 2017, in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Born in Leon, Gto., Mexico she had lived in Edinburg since 1989. Mrs. Muñoz was preceded in death by a daughter, Mayra Denise Muñoz; her parents, Alberto and Hilaria Sanchez; two sisters, Vicenta and Lorenza Sanchez. Mrs. Muñoz is survived by her husband, Juan Muñoz; six sons, Francisco Muñoz, Juan (Alma) Muñoz Jr., Abel (Gabriela) Muñoz, Juan (Esbeydi) Muñoz, Alberto Muñoz and Perfecto (Yesenia) Muñoz; four daughters, Maria Del Rosario (Manuel) Luna, Martina (Hector) Salinas, Anabel (Luis) Zamarron and Zayra (Luis) Rodriguez; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Miguel and Pedro Sanchez; two sisters, Inez and Josefina Sanchez; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday, January 16, 2017, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
