IRIS LOPEZ STEPHENS
KYLE / MCALLEN - Iris Lopez Stephens passed from this world Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in Kyle, TX surrounded by her family. Born in McAllen TX, and formerly of Webster TX, she realized her dream of living in the Texas Hill Country by residing in Kyle TX, for the past year. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by Ramiro L. and Palmira Lopez.
Iris, better known as Bebe, was loved by all and will be greatly missed. She embodied the qualities we should all aspire to: selflessness, unconditional love, empathy, care for others, tolerance, open-mindedness, curiosity, and humor. She loved her family and friends dearly and took every opportunity to make them feel loved. Bebe loved bird watching and her dogs Molly and Wally. She was a fierce, devoted fan of the Houston Texans, Go Texans! She loved creating beautiful, comfortable spaces for her loved ones to enjoy. She enjoyed caring for guests, and loved to laugh. She raised a beautiful family of her own, and aided in raising many more. She will be sorely missed; may she rest in peace.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by her husband Thomas Lee Stephens, two sons Mark Trevino and Andy Trevino, her grandson Nathan Mark Trevino, her brother Raul Lopez, four sisters Velda (Rene) Chavez, Norma (Delfino) Loredo, Sonia (Marco) Pedraza and Denise (Karl) Boltie, and many lovely nieces and nephews: Tony Lopez, Paul Lopez, Alyssa Lopez, Brenda Lopez, April (George) Bell, Marietta (Rene) Pena, Chris Pena, Elizabeth Pena, Pamela Loredo, Steven Loredo, Mark (Vanessa) Pedraza, Anthony Pedraza, Emma Pedraza, Bella Pedraza, Alexis Pedraza, Cristian Pedraza, Amanda Pedraza, A.J.
