Dearest Cousins. Today is Dec. 31, 2018. I had been speaking with my children about their family tree. For some time now I have wanted to reach out to my uncle Ray just to fill in some blanks about our fathers family tree.
Today, at 7pm I decided to GOOGLE DeeDee Mandes and I came up with My Tia Delia's Obituary, on the day of her passing. Even worse, I find out the Uncle Ray passes also.
How Sad that we never did the right side and reached out to one another as a family. I remember you guy's very well. Your mom was always very kind to me and your dad was just like mine.
One day I was taking a shortcut through a back street in McAllen and on this narrow back street here came a van face to face with me....IT WAS UNCLE RAY!!!!!! WOW, I must have smiled from ear to ear. Out of the Blue here we were. It was great. We talked and said we should meet later.
It was always my attention to go and see your parents and you "Primos" Just day go by and by. I hope one of you get this soon and make contact with me.
I would love to tell you what I know about our family tree, things that my father told me and pass it to you and maybe I might learn things about our parents lives that I did not know. I have a picture of our grandparents that I would like to pass on a copy for your family.
