Mr. Wallace Canon passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November. 22, 2016, in McAllen at the age of 74. Born on March 18, 1942, in Orange, Texas, he resided at the Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home in McAllen for the past six months. Formally of Houston, Wallace was a great fan of the Houston Astros and Houston Texans. He served his country with the United States Marine Corps.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Andrew (Julia) Canon, Kathryn (Kirby) Frazier, Jennifer Canon, and Pamela (Luciano) Mendez; a sister Marcia Hinds; six grandchildren, Sandra, Chelsea, Margaret, Dominique, John, and Michael; a great-grandson, Scott Alexander Wilkens.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that any contributions be made to the Alfredo Gonzales Texas State Veterans Home in memory of Wallace Canon.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016, at the Legacy Chapels,4610 S. Jackson Road in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
