Norma Jean Carrasco (Jeanie), age 43 entered into eternal life on Friday, January 11, 2013 surrounded by her loving and devoted family.
Jeanie was born on February 27, 1969 in Eloise, Michigan to Isidro and Tina Reyna. She currently resided in Edinburg and was a graduate of Harlingen High School.
Jeanie is preceded in death by her father, Isidro Reyna Jr., her niece, Lauren Ashley Cavazos, and her father-in-law, Eliseo Carrasco.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eliseo, her son, Eric Eliseo, daughter, Elissa Jean, her step son Michael Carrasco, her sister, Cindy (Javier) Cavazos, brother, Johnny Dan (Kasie) Reyna, nephews; Ryan Xavier Cavazos, and John Logan Reyna and her mother, Tina Reyna.
Jeanie cherished her family and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and daughter. She was loved by everyone that got to know her. Jeanie was the life of every event and will be greatly missed by all. She dedicated her life to her husband and children. She was the "Team Mom" and the parent every teacher counted on.
Jeanie was a dedicated parishioner at Holy Spirit Catholic Church and set the example for her family by leading a godly life. She embodied God's teachings by the way she lived her life in word and deed. Her favorite place to be was in church worshiping and praising God.
The family would like to thank the doctors and ICU nurses at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance for their compassionate care.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family between the hours of five and nine o'clock in the evening on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., Edinburg, TX. A Rosary Service will be prayed at seven o'clock in the evening and will be available online at www.legacychapelsrgv.com. A second Rosary will be held at St. Phillip Benizi Catholic Church in Poteet, Texas on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 where the Funeral Mass will also be conducted on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery in Von Ormy, Texas.
Funeral Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg, Texas.
