Obituary of Petra Renteria

PETRA RENTERIA Mission, Texas - Mrs. Petra Renteria, 88, went to be with our Lord Saturday, October 29th, 2016, at her residence in Mission, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born in Monterrrey Nuevo Leon Mexico; she lived in Mission most of her life. Mrs. Renteria was preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio Renteria. Her parents Fernando Gonzalez and Sara Gonzalez de Morantes. Mrs. Renteria survived by her thirteen children, Francisco Morantes, Mario Jaime (Martha) Renteria, Gregorio Renteria Jr. , Armando Renteria, Yolanda Fernandez, Jerry Renteria. Fernando(Juani)Renteria,Graciela(Arturo)Madero, Ricardo (Maria) Renteria, Juan Carlos(Monica) Renteria, Angela Nicoll-Renteria, Mary Rocha and Belinda(Salvador) Eureste Jr; She has been blessed with 50 grandchildren, and Great Grand children; she was the oldest of three; her brother Fernando Gonzalez Morantes, and her sister Maria De La Cruz Carrillo de Gonzalez Morantes. Petra was a full time house wife; she kept all her children nicely pressed and her home pretty tidy. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, enjoyed music, dancing and having her friends over for Mexican bingo. She enjoyed antiques and visiting garage sales on the weekend. The visitation is from 5p.m. to 9p.m.with a 7p.m. prayer service on Thursday November 3, 2016 at Legacy Chapel 4610 S. Jackson Rd. Edinburg, Texas. The Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday November 4th at Legacy Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens 3611 N. Taylor Rd. McAllen, Texas.
