Obituary of Antonio Garcia

Edinburg, Texas Mr. Antonio Garcia, Jr.,87, entered eternal rest on Monday October 17, 2016 at the Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. He was born on July 5, 1929 in San Isidro Starr County, Texas to Antonio Garcia and Genoveva Olivarez Garcia. Mr. Garcia was a long time resident of Edinburg. Antonio was full of life. He loved and lived for all of his children. He enjoyed the ranch life in San Isidro taking and showing his children how to hunt. He would often say.."You kill it you eat it". He was a comic always joking around. He was truly the life of the party. Dad you will be dearly missed but never forgotten. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Aurora Garcia, siblings; Urbano, Rita Henderson, Maximiano, Guadalupe Diaz, Issac, Adan, and Agustin Garcia. Left to cherish his memory are his loving children; Jesus Antonio Garcia, Hilda Araceli Garza (Frank), Jose Eduardo Garcia(Mary), Danette Villarreal (Jose Luis), Michael Anthoy Garcia, Rogelio Hernandez, Carolina Salinas (Felipe), Rafael Garcia (Maritza), Joel Garcia (Karla); His siblings- Jovita Vance, Genoveva Garcia, Beatrice Lopez, Cristobal Garcia, and Adelina Littlefield; 25 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A very special heartfelt gratitude to his son Roy Hernandez for his undying love and support to our dad throughout his last years. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Rd. in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Sacred Heart Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
