Obituary of Juana Cantu

JUANA CANTU EDINBURG - Juana Cantu, 76, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016, in McAllen. Born in China, N.L., Mexico, and formally of Alamo she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Encarnacion Cantu; a son, Jorge A. Cantu; her parents, Leobardo and Piedad Gonzalez. Mrs. Cantu is survived by her children, Elvia (Jesus) Loera, Alberto (Hortencia) Cantu, Juan M. (Maria) Cantu, Beatriz (Ismael) Bustamante, Encarnacion Cantu Jr., Jaime (Nadia) Cantu, Leobardo (Liliana) Cantu, David (Janie) Cantu and Lorena (David) Aguiñaga; 23 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Amelia Vega, Paula Mireles and Lucy Cantu. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
