Uncle Bob,
Thanks for the many memories , I didn't know if I should write in this at all because I felt like the card I gave you awhile back was all I had to say! And truly it was word for word that card means so much to me..it was written by me but I wrote it with the intent and love of my two other brothers as well.but I write this because other people who may not know you need to know the kind of uncle you were, at least to me and my brothers. You were and let's just say by unanimous decision the cowboys #1 fan, anyone else who proclaims that title hasn't met MY uncle bob, and you genuinely loved us not because you we're forced to due to being Our uncle which is what some uncles think like... But because you cared for us individually and as one. So thank you I'm more then proud to call you my uncle. You were an awesome brother to my mom and i know she was an awesome sister to you thats a love that can never be broken or forgotten. And to my dad you might as well have been a brother cause BBQ after BBQ you could be counted on even if it was just you two I'm glad you kept each other company.! And last but not the least you were a Husband. I'm glad you found love uncle Bob and to my aunt cris.. The greatest thing happened the day my uncle married you. You became our aunt. So uncle Bob, this is my promise and I'm sure my brothers and parents can back me up, that aunt cris will always have us to help her out, we're not going anywhere She will Always be a part of the family. With all the love in my heart we love you uncle bob and till the next time you rub my ear again may you rest in peace!, We will all be reunited one day. Hopefully for me it's on a Sunday so ill be just in time to watch some cowboys football with you! See you later uncle bob! Love always,Brandon

I will never forget the first time we met. I flew to Texas to see my sisters for the first time in 10 years and meet my niece and nephew. You were an amazing host and I was so happy for Cristela. You drove me all over the city and took us out for a great night on the town. You will be missed and I know you are looking down on all of us.

Words can't express how greatful I am that you & my sister met & fell in love. You both loved eachother so much & it showed everyday down to the little things you both did for eachother. You went above & beyond to make my sister happy & always sent her roses even if there was no certain occasion or left cute notes for eachother. Once the twins were born I saw a side of you I had never seen before. You changed pampers, made bottles, stayed up at night putting them to sleep, etc .. My sister was lucky to have you and so were the kids. Anytime I needed advise you were there for me & would tell me how it is no matter if I liked it or not. You were like a father figure to me and I will never forget you nor will you ever know how much I loved you & appreciated you. You opened your home to us & always showed us love. May you rest in peace & know that Cristela & the twins will be ok. I promise to always be there for them & we will keep your memory alive. You are no longer in pain & even though its hard and I want to be selfish I know you are in heaven with your parents and Sam. We now have several guardian angels watching and protecting us. We love you. Always .. your sister in law Irmalinda a.k.a. as you would call me Irm the worm, lol .. U always had jokes even though you seemed to be so quiet. I think we rubbed off on you over the years just a little xoxo

Uncle Bob,
I am writing this shortly after the Cowboys beat the Eagles 38-23! As soon as the game ended, I told Sophia, "My Uncle Bob would have loved this game." I knew now was the perfect time to write to you because you were always the first person I would call to ask for your opinions on the game. I know you heard what I told you on Friday, but I wanted to share with you my thoughts one more time. I don't think too many people will ever understand our relationship. I guess it was the passion and love we had for sports and "America's Team" that brought us closer. I will never forget how excited we both were for the NFL Draft and the weeks leading up to free agency. I always remember you telling me, "What's going on there, big guy? What's the latest on the boys?" I also remember how we would text each other and keep each other informed about any new players the Cowboys had gotten. I guess as diehard Cowboys fans, we knew this would be the year. I will never forget all the conversations we had, the good times we spent at South Padre Island, and BBQ Sundays watching the games. I miss you so much, but know you are in a better place now. I wish I could have been there more with you during those difficult times, but I know in my heart that you knew that. I am proud and blessed to have had as you as my uncle. No matter what, you never let it get you down and stayed strong. As Michael Irvin once said, you "look[ed] up, [got] up, and [didn't] ever give up." My brother and I will be attending the game this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns in your memory and to continue your yearly tradition. Send some luck the boys way. It brings a smile to my face thinking about the game and attending in your memory, since you were the one who took me to my very first Dallas Cowboys game. I just want you to know that Sophia and I are going to do whatever we can to be there for Cris, Bekah, and R.J. I will make sure that they understand how great a person and uncle you were to me. Also, don't you worry, I will try to see that Bekah and R.J. grow up rooting for the Cowboys. Maybe one day R.J. will be the one texting me like I always did with you. I love you, Uncle Bob. May you rest in peace. There are no goodbyes, but see you later. I love you and will never forget you. . . . . . Love, Stephen.

Bob T. It was my pleasure to have known you as a friend, brother, and compadre for 31 great years. I truly have been blessed to have had you in my life, to have had such wonderful memories of family vacations together, weekly BBQ's with family and friends, and those yearly trips to see the Cowboys which were always a blast win or loose. Your nephews Stephen and Brandon will be heading to the Clevand/ Cowboy game in your honor to continue your yearly tradition. I just want to ask you for one favor. See what you can do to help the Cowboys win their final games. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace my brother .......love Edward

Bob, I'm sure you were welcomed into heaven just as you welcomed me into the McFD brotherhood as a rookie. Though I loved C-Shift Firefighters, they were never known for extending the welcome mat to rookies. You, however, were the exception. I will never forget the kindness and encouragement you showed me as a rookie. And though we grieve your loss, the difference you made in the lives you touched as a firefighter, friend, brother and son are immeasurable. Rest, Brother.
