Obituary of Francisco Espinoza Salas

Francisco Espinoza Salas, Jr., 69, went to be with our Lord Monday, May 2, 2016. Born in Mission, he had lived in McAllen most of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Maria Salas; and a grandchild, Joseph Salas. Mr. Salas is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Salas; three children, Michael J. (Patricia) Salas, Veronica Y. (JeRon C.) Allen and Marco A. Salas; eight grandchildren, Michaela Salas, Grayson Salas, Brittny Merkich, Ashton Merkich, Kaitlyn Merkich, Jada Allen, Jasmine Allen and JeRon Allen, II; six sisters, Hortencia (Arturo) Galvan, Sylvia (Salvador) Vela, Olga Salas, Elizabeth Placeres, Alicia (Ruben) Cano and Maribel (Joe) Garza. Visitation will take place from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2016, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Pallbearers will be Arturo Galvan, Jr., Jerry Galvan, Salvador Vela, Jr., Nick Vela, Roberto Lopez, Jr. and Armando Rivas, II. Honorary pallbearers will be Grayson Salas and Ashton Merkich. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels of Edinburg.
