Obituary of Jose Zacarias

JOSE CRUZ ZACARIAS John 10: 27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. SAN JUAN - Jose Cruz Zacarias, 61, went to be with our Lord, Friday March 18, 2016, in McAllen surrounded by his family. Born in Reynosa, Tamps., Mexico he had lived in San Juan most of his life. Jose enjoyed singing and playing his guitar and working on his antique cars. Spending time with his family was his greatest treasure. Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Guadalupe and Maria Elena Zacarias and a sister Esmeralda. Mr. Zacarias is survived by his wife of 36 years, Maria Antonia Zacarias; four children, Claudia (Erik) Garza, Dr. Joe Zacarias, Angie Zacarias and Evelyn (Juan) Trevino; three grandchildren, Kailey, Ryan and Dina Marie; two brothers, Ruben and Miguel Zacarias; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3pm to 9pm with a 7pm rosary, Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10:30am Monday, March 21, 2016, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
