ERNESTO M. GOMEZ
MISSION - Ernesto M. Gomez, 80, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, January 17, 2016, in Edinburg. Mr. Gomez was a US Army Veteran and owner of Lucky 7 Drive Inn in Alton.
Mr. Gomez is preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Maria Gomez; his son, George Gomez; his parents, Jesus and Guadalupe Gomez.
Ernesto is survived by his four children; Medardo Roel, Gerardo (Martha), Anabell and Gilbert (Dolly) Gomez; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Jesus P. Gomez; two sisters, Guadalupe Salinas and Dora Garza.
Visitation will be from 5pm to 9pm with a 7pm rosary, Monday, January 18, 2016, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen with full military honors conducted by V.F.W. Post 8788 of McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
