MARIA ELENA ROMO
EDINBURG - Maria Elena Romo, 78, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Mrs. Romo is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Romo; son, Ramon Romo Jr.; parents, Leopoldo and Barbarita Gomez; brother, Leopoldo Gomez Jr.
Mrs. Romo is survived by six children, Jesus Eduardo Romo, Elizabeth (Daniel) Salazar, Gloria (Michael) Villarreal, Raul Romo, Rudy Romo and Maria Lulu (Gabriel) Campos; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beatriz Gaona and Bertha Alicia Salinas; brother, Rosbel Gomez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, October 3, 2022 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be held t 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment to be followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
