Obituary of Toribio Lozano

TORIBIO "TORO" LOZANO EDINBURG - Toribio "Toro" Lozano, 68, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 16, 2022, in Edinburg. Mr. Lozano was preceded in death by his parents, Leandro and Elida Lozano; three siblings, Jose Luis Lozano, Alvaro Lozano, and Leandro Lozano Jr. Mr. Lozano is survived by his wife, Maria Lozano; five children, Karina Lozano, Brenda Lozano (Loree Lozano), Chris Lozano, Priscilla Lozano, Benny Lozano; two grandsons, Cesar Bermudez and Diego Lozano; four siblings, Maria Torres, Roel Lozano, Sylvia Lozano, and Jaime Lozano; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides spending time with his family and friends, Toribio had a passion for fishing, his scratch-off’s, his Dallas Cowboys, traveling and seeing new places. His contagious humor and story telling on his lifetime of adventures captivated everyone around him, and even the “primo/a” at the store. He was a great man, a great husband, a great father, a great grandfather, and friend to many. May he always be remembered for his wise words, his humor, and his generous heart. He will forever be in our hearts. Además de pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos, a Toribio le apasionaba la pesca, su tiquetes de lotería ,sus Dallas Cowboys, viajar y conocer nuevos lugares. Su humor contagioso y su narración de historias sobre su vida de aventuras cautivaron a todos a su alrededor, e incluso al "primo/a" en la tienda. Fue un gran hombre, un gran esposo, un gran padre, un gran abuelo y amigo de muchos. Que siempre sea recordado por sus sabias palabras, su humor y su generoso corazón. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
