EDINBURG- Raymond M. Brooks was born to Tim and Mabel Brooks in Wilson, Texas on July 17, 1926 and was called home to the Lord on September 7, 2022. He was preceded by his wife, Carolyn Brooks, on June 19, 2022 just shy of their forty-seventh anniversary. Raymond is survived by his brother E. R. (Dick) Brooks and wife, Martha of Granbury, Texas; sons, Morris Brooks (and wife Angie) of Midland, Texas, Randy Brooks (and wife Mandy), Woody Brooks (and wife Pam) all of McCamey, Texas; step sons Marc Hollis (and wife Emerald) of Edinburg, Texas, and Matt Hollis (and wife Anna) of Bakersfield, California; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Raymond was a World War II veteran having served in the Army Air Corp during the occupation of Japan. For by grace you have been saved through faith; And that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8 Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission with full military honors. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
