George T. (Tommy) Thomson posted a condolence
Saturday, October 6, 2018
I served in with Tom Deering in Vietnam. He was my best friend! My first wife and I also knew his wife, Marilyn and were saddened by their divorce. I'd like to correspond with any family member who can tell me about his life after 1976, and tell me how he passed. I’m deeply upset to know that the great guy that I knew and loved is no longer here.
Tommy Thomson
Lt Col, USAF, (Ret.)

Scott Sprague posted a condolence

In 1985 I changed my name from Scott Sprague to Blake Bradford to work at Inland Container in Ontario, and Tom was my boss. He was a good boss, always encouraging, thoughtful, supportive, and above all Very Funny! I met Tom earlier when I worked at inland Container in Santa Fe Springs with his younger brother, Steve Deering. Steve and I were friends, and when I had the chance to return to work at Inland in Ontario for Tom, I jumped at the chance. Tom always took very good care of his employees and was well liked by eveyone I can remember. Even though i have not seen him for 25 years, I will miss him. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. He went too young.
