Obituary of Eleazar Ruiz

ELEAZAR RUIZ EDINBURG - Eleazar Ruiz, 69, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 2, 2022, in Edinburg. Mr. Ruiz was preceded in death by his father, Cloromiro Ruiz. Eleazar was born on August 17, 1953, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He was the patriarch of the Ruiz Family. After the sudden death of his father, at a very young age, Eleazar became the man of the household. He took over the responsibility of caring for his mother, and his five younger brothers and sisters. He fought hard to pull them out of poverty and into a better life. Eleazar was the definition of a family man. He worked hard every day to provide a good life for his loved ones and always went above and beyond to give them all of things that he never had. Not only material things but his time, his presence, and his wisdom. Eleazar was a strong, tough man whose words carried weight but, in his actions, he showed you how much he loved and cared for you. Nothing made him happier than jumping in the pool on a Sunday afternoon with his grand babies, turning on the bbq pit and jamming out to Vicente Fernandez with family and lifelong friends that he also called family. Being a husband, a father, and a grandfather were Eleazar’s greatest joys. His marriage to the love of his life, Hilda Ruiz, was his greatest accomplishment. He was incredibly blessed to have been able to share 47 years of his life with the one person who made him complete. Through thick and thin, their bond stood the test of time. Between them, they shared three children and three grandchildren and countless memories with his brothers and sisters and their children. His life was well lived. His death leaves an unbearable gap in all our hearts. He was taken from us too soon. But we all feel immensely blessed to have had him in our lives as long as we did. His legacy will live on in those who loved him. As mentioned, above, Eleazar is preceding in death by his father, Cloromiro Ruiz; he is survived by his wife, Hilda Ruiz; his mother, Elizabeth Anzaldua; three sons, Fabian Ruiz, Ascary Ruiz(Marisa Villarreal), and Edgar Ruiz; three grandchildren, Melaina, Madeline, and Mason; five siblings, Maria Elizabeth Gutirrez, Abraham Ruiz, Jorge Ruiz, Ignacio Ruiz (Herminia Ruiz)Aracely Rodriguez (Esteban Rodriguez)and numerous nieces and nephews, who will strive to always keep his memory alive. A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
