Obituary of Victor Gonzalez

VICTOR GONZALEZ PHARR- Víctor González, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-granfather, and friend passed away at home on Sunday, July 24, 2022. Víctor was born to Pablo Gonzalez and Maria Perez in China Nuevo León on March 6, 1936. Víctor married The Love of his Life”, Jovita Chapa in November 1960 and together had six children, Victor Gonzalez (Cristina Sifuentes), Maria Estella (A. Jaime) Gonzalez, Pablo (Dora) Gonzalez, Teresita (Hector) Morin, Juan José (Bertha) Gonzalez, and Jovita Abigail(Jesus) Montanez. Víctor called Pharr home since 1977. Spending time at the ranch and feeding the animals was something he looked forward to every day in addition to working on his plants or adding new plant variations to his abundant garden. Being a loving grandfather and great grandfather came naturally to Victor. His grandchildren and great grandchildren loved his warm hugs and kisses with the tickly scratch of his mustache. He loved having family over and have a full table while he ate. Víctor is survived by his wife of 62 years, three sons, three daughters, 16 grandkids, and 8 great-grandkids. He is preceded in death by his grandson, José Francisco Montañez, his brother, Alberto Gonzalez, and parents Pablo and Maria Gonzalez. Visitations will be from 5 PM to 9 PM with a 7 PM rosary Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel services will be at 10 AM Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
