OCTAVIA CEJA
PHARR - Octavia Ceja, 78, entered eternal sleep on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Edinburg. Mrs. Ceja was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Guadalupe Ceja Sr.; her daughter, Marta Ceja; her parents, Simon and Beatriz Casas; siblings, Librado Casas and Ercilia Gonzalez.
Mrs. Ceja is survived by her five children, Rosa Maria (Miguel) Mercado, Manuel (Alma) Ceja, Jose Guadalupe Ceja Jr., Perla (Ruben) Vera, and Luz Maria Cantu; twelve grandchildren; nine siblings, Elida Lopez, Juan Casas, Myriam Barrett, Simon Casas, Emilio Casas, Mauricio Casas, Esteban Casas, Criselda Casas, and Andrea Casas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a reading of her eulogy at 6:45 pm. followed by a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022, at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
