Daniel "Pimpe" Garza
McAllen - On November 20, 2015, Daniel "Pimpe" Garza was called home by the Lord. Born November 4th, 1931, he had just celebrated his 84th birthday. He was a fun loving man, very lively with a great sense of humor. His family and friends knew him as a jokester with a very kind heart. He loved spending time at his lake house with family, having BBQ's, fishing, mowing the lawn and having a few cold ones out by the pier.
In his early years as a US Marine, he learned the true meaning of "Sempre Fi" as he defended his country in Korea where he earned a purple heart. After being honorably discharged, he served 38 years as a loyal employee with the U.S. Postal Service.
Let it be known that he lived his life happily and peacefully and if he were to be remembered for one thing it was that he always found a reason to smile up until the very end.
Mr. Garza is preceded in death by his father, Ramon Garza; his mother, Lazara Perez; step-father, Raul Perez; two brothers,Federico Garza and Raul Ruben Perez, Jr.; a brother in-law, Thomas Morales. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Sylvia Garza; his daughters Sylvia Yolanda Aguirre (Isaias), and Gloria Ochoa (Adrian); three grandchildren, Adrie Ochoa, Alyssa Ochoa, Daniel Aguirre; four sisters, Gloria Elvira Morales, Nelia Vargas (Everado), Rebecca Gallegos, and Lazara Moreno (Juan).
Daniel Garza: "Into paradise may the angels lead you."
