Kino always had a smile when we saw him, but our absolute favorite memory was a holiday gathering at our grandma Eugenia Garcia's home. Our children tugged mom down to whisper, "Why is Santa here in regular clothes?" (I believe Kino had a beard at the time.) He overheard, so he played the part... called them over, asked if they've been good, & what they wanted... all with that smile, right there in grandma's kitchen. ♡ Our prayers & sympathies are with his loved ones.
