I went to school and became friends with Pat. Real good friends. My best memory is that my Dad had an office on South 17th, 3 doors down from Califa's. I grew up with this store and when I was 10 my Aunt bought me and my cousin, matching red checked shirts and blue jeans (my first blue jeans). Sharon and I thought we were "the cats meow". Then when I had my child, my Daddy bought Sami Buster Brown outfits. As a little girl, I always remember that I admired a woman running a business and then became friends with Pat. May she rest in peace.

Dear Ethel and Family, Please accept our sympathy on the death of your mother – she was quite a gal. To lose anyone close is hard, no matter what the age. However, in the words of Thomas Campbell, “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” Most sincerely, Jim Davis and Jan Buchholtz
