Obituary of Francisca R. Gracia

FRANCISCA R. GRACIA EDINBURG-Francisca R. Gracia, our dear Mother. Grandmother and Great Grandmother has gone to meet our Lord and reunite with her loving husband Silvestre, her parents, siblings and friends on Monday, June 13, 2022. She was born December 3, 1925 in Galveston, Texas to her parents Guadalupe Ruiz and María Luisa Ruan de Ruiz. Our mother lived a beautiful full life. She was a hardworking, loving mother who helped raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a cook for many years at Pikes Restaurant and loved to cook for her familv. A wise woman with a wealth of experiences, she always had words of advice, opinions and suggestions for her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Gracia is survived by her children, Silvestre (Rebecca Tobar), Eduardo "Eddie" Gracia, Marta G. Rivera (Luis),   siblings, Olivia Pizana, Robert (Janice) Ruiz, Rafael Ruiz, Rodolfo ( Diana) Ruiz, Raul (Oralia) Ruiz, Rose Alma (Armando) Ramirez, and Rosario (Ricardo) Anzaldua; Grandchildren: Loretta Gracia (José Mario Sánchez Jr.), Misty Marie Gracia Canalés (Robert Canales), Marlisa Yvonne (John Trevino), Dr. Luis Omar Rivera (Dr. Moira Shaw Rivera) Great-grandchildren Gilbert M. Garza, Sylvester Garza, Vincent Garza, Enrique Munoz II, Alex Munoz, Mercedes Klinefelter, Rob Canalés JR., Hunter G. Canalés and numerous nieces and nephews;  Her loving pets, Mika and Duke. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. with a 5 p.m. rosary Friday, June 17, 2022 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
